Verbal Reasoning

Measures your ability to analyze and evaluate text content, and to synthesize information obtained from it. It includes questions on reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence. It has 2 sections with 12 questions in the first section, and 15 in the second, with 18 minutes and 23 minutes respectively to solve said questions.

Quantitative Reasoning

Assesses your understanding of basic mathematical concepts, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis. It tests your ability to reason quantitatively and solve problems. It has 2 sections with 12 questions in the first section, and 15 in the second, with 21 minutes and 26 minutes respectively to solve said questions.

Analytical Writing

Includes one tasks: the Issue Task (to express your views on an issue) time duration 30 mins.

The GRE is computer-based, lasting approximately 1 hour and 58 minutes. The Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning sections are scored between 130-170 points, while the Analytical Writing section is scored from 0 to 6.
